Jeff Fuchs Photography

Having lived for much of the past decade in Asia, Fuchs' work has centered on indigenous mountain peoples, Asian traditions, with a particular addictive emphasis on tea.

Jeff has just penned a book of his 8-month, 6000 km journey through the Himalayas, along Asia's fabled Tea Horse Road for Penguin Books , which is due out in Spring of 2008.

His vibrant photos and stories have appeared in World Geographic, The Earth, Voyage, New Ideas , Outdoor Exploration , New Traveler, Outpost and the China Post newspaper. He traveled to the Arctic as part of a film crew documenting isolation for a French travel show " Access Interdit ".

Jeff's work and life were the focus on a National Chinese television in a feature documentary "Follow Me" (Tanglong International Media Group), which explored his photographic work including a project in which he lived with and documented a nomadic tribe at 5000 metres in the Himalayas. He and his work with schools have also been featured on CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) television documenting his groundbreaking 'first western exploration' of the entire length of the Tea Horse Road.

Work has taken him to the Arctic, South America, Asia, Europe and ultimately found him a home in the eastern Himalayas.
